The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research seeks to conduct and promote high quality research to help inform policymakers in Ras Al Khaimah, the United Arab Emirates, and broader Gulf region. To this end, the Foundation welcomes proposals from scholars in a wide range of disciplines and professional fields that address issues related to its research priority areas of education, health and well-being, and urban development and planning. Special 2020 Topics Call - Coastal & Marine Research
In collaboration with the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, the Foundation is pleased to announce a special 2020 call for proposals to conduct field research in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) related to coastal and marine systems. Located on the Arabian Gulf, proposals are welcomed from a broad range of disciplines, including: coastal development, planning, and management, coastal urbanization and ecological engineering, environmental economics and policy, fisheries management, marine biology, marine and coastal ecosystems (including mangroves), marine and coastal tourism, and natural and artificial reefs. This special call is especially targeted to Doctoral Research Grant applications, but Faculty Research Grants and Seed Grant submissions are also welcome.
